Adidas x Get Spotted: Our Barong Track Jacket Concept

What would happen if a barong met a track jacket? We've been sketching an answer. Here is our dream: Adidas x Get Spotted, a collection where Filipino heritage dressing meets sportswear.
To be clear, this is a concept. These are Get Spotted's own design sketches, imagining what a collaboration could look like. There is no partnership with Adidas, and Adidas hasn't seen or approved these designs.
The idea
The barong and the Filipiniana are made for the most important days of our lives: weddings, graduations, the first day at a new job. Sportswear is made for every day. We wanted to see what happens when the two meet: the embroidery, sheer fabrics and silhouettes we love, in the pieces people actually live in.
Barong Track Jacket
A classic zip-up track jacket, reimagined as a barong. The front panels carry intricate barong embroidery in gold thread on a sheer, organza-like body, with stripes running down the sleeves and a ribbed collar and cuffs. Formal enough for a Filipiniana night, easy enough for the airport.
Filipiniana Windbreaker
The Filipiniana's signature is its sleeve. Here, a cropped windbreaker gets full puff sleeves gathered into ribbed cuffs, echoing the terno's butterfly sleeves in a sporty way. Wear it over a slip dress, or with trousers and sneakers.
Barong Panel Jacket
A darker, sportier take: a track jacket with barong embroidery panels set into the chest, a sporty collar and stripe details down the arms. Made for the people who want a little heritage in every outfit.
Barong Football Jacket
Our favourite is the back. A rising sun with sampaguita, our national flower, spread across the shoulders, over a band of hablon pattern, the handwoven fabric from the Visayas that we've championed with the Negros Nine Weavers.
Made in the spirit of Get Spotted
